Nice clean rooms. Service and meals were great too.

Lovely clean accommodation and comfortable beds. Les and his family are amazing! Totally saved us for not only accommodation, but friendly caring help, when our camper broke in half on the highway just out of town. Couldn't praise this business and family enough. Well worth the stay. Thanks again Les and fam.

1 STAR WARNING DO NOT STAY!This used to be our place to stay. We loved it. Until recently. We checked in. Hot room, not ready,a/c not blowing cool either, even after a few hours, benches filthy with dead bugs and dust and flies ontop of shelves. No coffee only 1 sugar. A reused toilet seal was sitting askew across the toilet lid and toilet not clean. Pulled back bedding to find 3 bugs UNDERNEATH 1 pillow and 3 strands of hair on top of the 2nd beds pillow. The blanket under the duvet had numerous stains on them, the duvet itself had old food stuck to it which I couldnt even pull off. I went back to the office to let them know. He had his son bring me a new blanket for me to change myself. No new pillow covers. He threw the 'new / clean blanket on the tiles and looked closely at the food scrap stuck to the blanket. Made an odd remark like. Oh I didnt see that before? What...as in, when you checked the bed and remade it without changing the whole thing? And took the blanket off and walked out. I went back to office to address the bed bug issue and it was dismissed as "sometimes bugs get under the door?" The owner then offered us a different room with smaller beds, without apologizing, but then said hed rather give us a refund and we could 'keep moving on' to find somewhere else to stay!? This was after hours with small children and a baby in the car with a car load full and trailer. The rest of the town was booked out. We had no where else to go.What type of person thinks this is an acceptable offer? No apology either. No discount or amendments. To further top it off, he started getting annoyed because I was complaining?? Its not like I made it up!Also, when we checked in, the male owner had to 'check' the room to "see" if it was ok or not. This is clearly not an organized or clean establishment. He also said he does not remake the beds with new sheets if it LOOKS unused. On the numerous other times we have stayed here we have eaten at their so called restaurant. Dont bother choosing any of the steaks. They are sized, small, med and large, they are all 1 size, we realised and ordered smalls each time. They were a good size. But unfortunately after many chances given we started bringing microwavable meals, because no matter how you order your steak. It comes out hard and well done. You can not microwave a steak from frozen and then grill it and expect it to be eadible. It ended up being wasted as even the kids could not chew it. We chose this place originally because it is a family run business and we like to support local but over the last 2 to 3 years it has turned to the worst place to stay in blackall with the most inhospitable owners I've ever met. We will never ever stay here again.BELOW ARE BED BUGS FROM INSIDE THE BED!

A hidden gem. We experienced fantastic service from Les and his family. The food was incredible and they create a very warm and welcoming atmosphere. We will definitely be staying here when back in the region.

Very clean, great rooms and water pressure, great value for money , and try the rump steak in the restaurant it is a ripper big big meal good price and alcohol is good price, nice people comfy beds and pillows, I really can't fault anything would recommend staying for sure.
